Ebenhausener Weiher is a bathing lake created around 1970 during land consolidation. The lake covers approximately 37,903 square metres with a shoreline of about 943 metres and water depth ranging from 8 to 10 metres. It features a grassy recreational area, volleyball net, playground with water slide, children's bathing area, and mobile toilets.

Water Quality

EU classification: excellent bathing water quality (2024). Water quality is monitored during the bathing season (15 May to 15 September) every four weeks, with additional testing as needed. In July 2024, a bathing ban was imposed due to mass cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) proliferation and proliferation of other algae species including green algae and filamentous algae, resulting in zero visibility. The ban remained in effect through the end of the bathing season due to declining microbiological values.

Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and other algae species (green algae, filamentous algae) capable of causing algal blooms and zero visibility. Exceedance of limit values triggers follow-up monitoring by the health authority and may result in bathing bans.
