Kreisweiher Feilenmoos is a recreational bathing lake located between Manching and Geisenfeld. The lake was created during gravel extraction between 1972 and 1978. It offers swimming and windsurfing opportunities, with a meadow for sunbathing and a playground on site.

Artificial lake created from gravel extraction. Surface area approximately 19,494 m². Shoreline length approximately 653 m. Maximum water depth 5 m.

Location

Located between Manching and Geisenfeld in the Pfaffenhofen district. The nearest town is Geisenfeld.

Water Quality

EU bathing water quality classification 2024: excellent. Water quality is monitored during the bathing season (15 May – 15 September) every 4 weeks, or more frequently if necessary. Monitoring results are point-in-time measurements. A temporary bathing ban was imposed in early June 2024 following a flood event and was lifted on 21 June 2024 after test results confirmed no health risk.
