Heideweiher Reichertshofen is a bathing lake created around 1970 during land consolidation. The lake covers approximately 19,708 square metres with a shoreline of about 713 metres and maximum depth of 7 metres. It offers a beach area with lounging space, kiosk, playground with water slide, volleyball court, separate swimming and non-swimming zones, and grilling facilities.

Location

Reichertshofen, near Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in Bavaria. Parking and facilities available at the lake.

Facilities

Lounging area, kiosk, playground with water slide, volleyball court, grilling area, toilets, separation of swimming and non-swimming zones. Camping available by request from kiosk operator.

Water Quality

EU classification for 2024: excellent bathing water quality. Water quality is monitored every 4 weeks during the bathing season (15 May to 15 September), with more frequent testing if necessary. A precautionary bathing ban was issued in early June 2024 following a flood event; the lake was reopened on 13 June 2024 after testing confirmed no health risk.
