Eyller See is an artificial bathing lake located in Kerken, Germany. The bathing area spans 130 metres of beach with sandy and gravelly substrate. Water

Artificial lake covering 1.3 hectares in lowland terrain (below 200 metres elevation). Water depth averages 10 metres with a maximum depth of 13 metres. Water level fluctuations reach 1 metre. Substrate is sandy and gravelly. The catchment area is very small (less than 10 square kilometres). Water renewal occurs through groundwater flow with a water exchange time exceeding 30 days. The water body is stratified and eutrophic.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (for years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018). The water body shows no significant pollution loads or influences. Transparency ranges from 2.4 to 6.1 metres. No cyanobacterial blooms were observed in the four years preceding the profile. Risk of future cyanobacterial mass development is low. Macroalgae and phytoplankton have been unproblematic; risk of future phytoplankton mass development is low.

Risks

Cercariae (waterfowl-derived parasites causing swimmer's itch) are not excluded but no relevant impact has been documented. Migratory geese occasionally pass through outside the bathing season with no documented impact on water quality.
