Scanzano Jonico, Matera Province, Basilicata Region. The sampling point is positioned 250 meters north of the Agri River mouth (coordinates: 40.228843 -16.744138). The bathing area extends from 40.221319 -16.740235 to 40.235860 -16.747006.

Season

1 May to 30 September. Monitoring period: 1 April to 30 September.

Water Quality

Classification reference period: 2017–2020. Monitoring period: 1 April to 30 September with monthly sampling frequency. No bathing bans were in effect during the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Non-bathing zones are present: the discharge outlet of the Consorzio di Bonifica drainage canal with a width of 40 meters centered on the outlet (UTM ETRS89 coordinates X: 647899.195; Y: 4453897.297), and the Agri River mouth with a width of 100 meters centered on the outlet (UTM ETRS89 coordinates X: 647817.49; Y: 4453797.18).
