Hardausee is a recreational reservoir created in the former riverbed of the Hardau River through the construction of a weir. Covering approximately 8 hectares, it is fed by the Hardau River and serves as a bathing lake, paddle boat facility, and leisure area. The lake features a sandy beach and partially shaded meadow for relaxation, as well as a 2-kilometre circular walking path. The surrounding 2-kilometre inlet area includes pasture and pond farming.
