Oldenstaedter See Strand Oldenstadt Mitte

Germany Lake 1 - Excellent

Oldenstädter See is an inland lake formed after sand extraction in the 1970s for the Elbe Side Canal and again in the late 1990s during construction of a bypass road. The lake has a surface area of 155,000 square metres and is fed by groundwater. It features a walking path around its perimeter, natural vegetation, reed beds, and beach areas, and has been developed as a bathing lake. The lake is divided into three zones: a nature biotope, a windsurfing area, and a bathing area with two beach sections.
