Helberskov

Helberskov beach is located in the middle of a summer house area in Kattegat. The beach and surrounding area are protected nature, including wetland, heath, beach meadow, Natura 2000 designation, and an EU bird reserve. The beach stretches approximately 600 metres and is 5–10 metres wide. The central part consists of muddy sand with vegetation extending to the water's edge in some places. The seabed is soft sand and mud with very shallow water, creating a tidal flat character.

Water

Kattegat saltwater body. The beach extends approximately 600 metres. Beach width is 5–10 metres. Distance from shore to 2 metres depth is approximately 140 metres. Seabed consists of soft sand and mud. Very shallow water with characteristics of a tidal flat. Sandflats and reefs are exposed at low tide.

Facilities

Tables and benches. Rubbish bins. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

Season

Monitoring and bathing season occurs during the period when water temperature ranges from approximately 13°C to 22°C.

Water quality classification is excellent. Salinity: saltwater. Water temperature varies between approximately 13°C and 22°C during the bathing season.
