Strandbad Hemmingen is a privately operated bathing beach on a quarry lake located west of the Ricklinger gravel pits in the Obere Leine landscape protection area. The beach features a spacious sandy area with a shallow water entry suitable for non-swimmers. A bistro-café serves beverages, snacks, and exotic drinks, and various events are organised during the bathing season. A lifeguard is present throughout the season.
