The Ricklinger Dreieckteich is one of three officially designated bathing lakes in the Ricklinger Kiesteiche complex located southwest of Hannover in the Obere Leine landscape protection area and southern Leine floodplain. The bathing area is situated in the south-eastern part of the lake without artificial sand deposits and offers multiple entry points around the lake. Large meadows for sunbathing line the lakes, though the Südschnellweg highway passes through the area, obscured by dense tree cover.
