Maschsee is an artificially created lake in the centre of Hannover. The beach bath in the south of Maschsee has existed for over 70 years and is very popular due to its central location. The public section of the beach bath permits swimming for an entrance fee. The sandy beach with adjoining meadow extends along the entire length of the bath and includes a public children's playground.
