Heuchelheimer See II is an 8.8-hectare gravel lake located west of Giessen and south of Heuchelheim in a lake district along the Lahn river. The lake has a maximum depth of 11.6 metres and an average depth of 5.7 metres. It is primarily used by water skiers and wakeboarders due to an onsite ski facility, though a swimming area exists on the southeastern shore with a small beach and adjacent meadow. The lake maintains excellent water quality due to stable thermal stratification in summer and lower vulnerability to Lahn flooding compared to neighbouring lakes.
