Hohenwartestausee at Linkenmühle is an artificial reservoir created in 1942 for electricity generation and flood control. The bathing area extends along the right bank toward the dam and into Linkenmühle bay, featuring a gently sloped beach of grass and natural gravel approximately 360 meters long. The reservoir, with a total length of 27 kilometers, holds 182 million cubic meters of water across 730 hectares. The bathing spot benefits from a peaceful, forested setting with shallow water averaging about 20 meters depth from shore.
