Enterococci 90th percentile: 474.4 MPN/100 ml; 95th percentile: 999.4 MPN/100 ml. Pollution sources include a developed sewage network serving high building density and the Verbania Consortium treatment plant discharging into nearby waters. Vessels may release mineral oils and fuel.

Risks

Intense precipitation can trigger overflow structures and accidental failures of pumping systems, allowing untreated sewage discharge into the lake. Improper sewage network management is a potential pollution source.
