The Irr- or Zellersee near Laiter is a lake covering 3.55 km² with a maximum depth of 32 metres. The small volume results in low heat storage capacity, while its sheltered location typically causes winter ice cover and high summer water temperatures. Visibility is periodically affected by mineral turbidity, biogenic decalcification, and phytoplankton. Water quality has improved throughout the lake since approximately 1985 due to remediation efforts.
