Irr- or Zellersee is a lake located in Zell am Moos with an area of 3.55 square kilometres and maximum depth of 32 metres. The lake is sheltered from wind, resulting in regular winter ice cover and high water temperatures in summer. Water visibility is occasionally affected by mineral turbidity, biogenic decalcification, and phytoplankton. Water quality has improved across all parts of the lake since approximately 1985 due to restoration efforts.
