Isorella is a predominantly pebbled beach located in Cogoleto, Liguria, in the coastal waters between Varazze and Arenzano. The bathing water has been classified as Excellent based on monitoring from 2008-2011. The area extends along a long sandy beach and is characterized by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). Monitoring includes testing for Cr6+ (hexavalent chromium) parameters alongside standard bathing water sampling. No coastal wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area.

Risks

River mouth discharge from Rio Centurioni and Rio del Prino identified as pollution sources. Cyanobacterial blooms do not occur due to oligotrophic conditions. No cases of toxic algal strain proliferation recorded in the past 4 years.
