Klinten Strand is a 1 km long natural beach located at the end of Strandvej. The bathing water is classified as excellent quality. The seabed is partly stony and partly soft, and the water is brackish with salinity between 1 and 2 percent.

Location

At the end of Strandvej near a staircase in Frederikssund. Municipal car park available at the end of Strandvej, beside Tjørnevej.

Facilities

Car park available. No bathing bridge. No lifeguards. No disabled access facilities. No toilets. Ice cream and burger stand approximately 900 m away at Kronprins Frederiksbro. Green public area on top of the slope.

Season

Monitoring season: April to October.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Monitoring station 179 with 4 samples per bathing season. Low risk of cyanobacteria bloom, occurring only rarely during multiple days of calm, warm weather. Low risk of macroalgae and phytoplankton blooms, though seaweed may occur. Potential pollution source: wastewater impact possible during heavy rainfall, with contamination lasting up to 3 days depending on rainfall size and current/wind conditions.
