La plage de la Mine d'Or is the largest beach in Pénestin, extending approximately 2 km between Rocher du Lomer to the north and Plage de Poudrantais to the south. It is located on the western coastal facade of Pénestin commune in Brittany, at the mouth of the Vilaine estuary. The beach features a natural shoreline with sand and rocks, characterized by relatively low slope and water transparency affected by proximity to the Vilaine estuary. The beach is subject to tidal variations, with lengths of 1675 m at high tide and 1700 m at low tide, and widths varying from 20 m at high tide to 180 m at low tide.
