Poudrantais is a small bay beach located on the western coastal edge of Pénestin commune in Brittany, France, situated south of Mine d'Or beach and north of Maresclé point. The beach features a naturally sandy shore with rocks and modified banks. Water transparency is affected by proximity to the Vilaine estuary. The bathing site is classified as good quality water.

Location

Pénestin, Morbihan (56), Brittany, France, at the mouth of the Vilaine estuary on the Atlantic coast. The beach is part of the Cap Atlantique agglomeration territory and is located on the western coastal facade of the commune.

Water Quality

The bathing site was classified as good quality in 2014. Bacteriological water quality monitoring is conducted. Potential for macro-algae and phytoplankton proliferation has been evaluated. Sources of pollution identified include rainwater discharge, domestic wastewater, agricultural activities, boat moorings, and dog feces.
