Lato Ovest is a bathing water area located in Bonassola, Liguria, featuring a pebbly beach in the western section of the Bonassola inlet. The area encompasses rocky sections and is classified as a coastal water body with mountain relief and low stability characteristics. The bathing water has maintained an excellent quality classification during the 2008-2011 period.

Location

Bonassola, La Spezia Province, Liguria region. The bathing area covers 0.896 hectares and is situated in the western part of the Bonassola inlet.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). Identified pollution sources include the Bonassola treatment plant with an active offshore outfall and river mouth discharge. No blooms of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacteria blooms due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions.
