Gone is a coastal bathing area in Bonassola, La Spezia province, Liguria region. It features a high, rocky cliff coastline bounded by Punta Levanto to the west and Punta Gone to the east. The area covers 1.043 km². The bathing water is classified as Excellent for the period 2008–2011.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal treatment plants, Imhoff systems, or discharge pipes are present in the area. Cyanobacterial blooms are not characteristic of the Ligurian Sea due to its predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the last four years.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events and anomalous situations are being assessed using a developing modelling approach. No historical anomalous events or toxic algal proliferation have been documented in the last 4–8 years.
