Water

Lėvens tvenkinys (reservoir) in the Lėvuo water system. Average water depth is 1.0 meter; maximum depth is 1.5 meters. The water body is part of the Mūša sub-basin within the Lielupės river basin. Water exchange duration and daily water level fluctuations are recorded but specific values are not provided. Average annual discharge in the basin is 2.65 cubic meters per second.

The bathing area is located in Kupiškis municipality, Panevėžys district, Lithuania, in the Lėvuo water body. It is managed by the Kupiškio municipality administration. The beach accommodates approximately 100 visitors during peak season under favorable weather conditions.

Facilities

Four toilets are available. No showers are provided. Sports facilities include basketball, volleyball, and football courts, and children's play areas. Water Quality

Water quality has been classified as excellent since 2018, meeting excellent quality requirements from 2018 to 2024. In 2017, water quality met good quality requirements. Short-term pollution was recorded on 2021-08-02 when microbiological indicators exceeded Lithuanian hygiene standards HN 92:2018. This short-term pollution was likely caused by heavy rainfall, high temperature favoring bacterial growth, and high visitor numbers. Short-term pollution typically resolves within 1–2 days after rainfall ends. Water clarity monitoring has been conducted.

Risks

Possible momentary water contamination may occur due to irresponsible human behavior, as Uošvies liežuvio island is located on the opposite side of the beach. Short-term pollution is possible during heavy rainfall. No concentrated or diffuse pollution sources exist in the impact zone.
