Lido is a bathing area located on Lake Montorfano in Lombardy. The bathing zone features an grassy area approximately 70 metres wide. The lake is part of a designated Natural Reserve established for its important environmental characteristics, including wooded shorelines and reed beds and aquatic vegetation. The area has relevant natural importance despite its small size.

Location

Equipped bathing establishment (lido) with bar. Animals are permitted.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is ECCELLENTE (Excellent) based on monitoring data from 2019–2022. No cyanobacterial threshold exceedances have been recorded in the preceding four years. No toxic effects on bathers or aquatic environments have been documented.

Risks

Possible pollution causes include unfavourable meteorological conditions such as heavy atmospheric events. Short-duration pollution events may result from soil runoff, stagnant water, and various spillages, including possible accidental or unauthorised discharge of wastewater or polluting debris. No cyanobacterial proliferation activity or macroalgal/phytoplankton events have been recorded in the preceding four years.
