Water quality classification: NEW (reference period 2019–2022). Wastewater treatment facility (ID SIRE: DP01307501) discharges to Lake Como. No known anthropogenic activities favour eutrophication or cyanobacterial growth. No exceedances of regulatory thresholds recorded in the past four years. No previous events of macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation in the past four years.

Risks

Possible pollution risks from adverse meteorological conditions such as severe atmospheric events. Short-duration pollution events from runoff, water stagnation, and various spills. Possible accidental or unauthorised discharges of sewage or polluting debris.
