The southern limit of the Metauro River mouth is a sandy beach with fine quartz-feldspar and calcareous flint-bearing sand. The beach has a slope between 1% and 3% and is protected by artificial emerged breakwaters. The beach width averages 15 meters, with a distance of 80 meters between medium-low and high water marks. The surrounding area is urbanized with a railway line passing through.
