Bersaglio - Fine Go-Kart is a bathing beach in Fano, Marche region, characterized by gravel of calcareous and siliceous origin. The emerged beach has a slope of 5–10%, while the submerged section slopes at approximately 20%. A portion of the beach is replaced by rocky cliffs. The beach width averages 12 metres. The surrounding area consists of urban settlements with a railway line passing through.

Water

Coastal marine water body (Fano_Senigallia). The distance between mean low and high water (safe water limit) is 10 metres. Astronomical tidal range is 30–50 centimetres. Area extension: 1.13535 hectares.

Location

Fano, Pesaro Urbino province, Marche region. The beach is located in a densely urbanized area adjacent to the Metauro river estuary.

Facilities

One free beach area; camper parking available. Animals are not permitted.

Water Quality

Classification: E. Water quality monitoring is conducted regularly with 24 annual checks on parameters in accordance with Italian legislative decree 152/2006. Short-term pollution events include slight increases in microbiological parameters from overflow discharge 18–Bersaglio. Non-toxic microalgae blooms (Noctiluca scintillans) occurred during bathing seasons 2008 and 2009, causing anomalous water discoloration.
