Lo Scoglio is a sandy beach located in Monterosso al Mare within the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area. It extends to the rocks facing Torre Aurora. The surrounding area features a high, rocky coastline with a pebbly beach. The bathing water is classified as coastal waters with mountainous features and low stability.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). No coastal wastewater treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. The Ligurian Sea is not characterized by cyanobacterial blooms due to oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have occurred.

Risks

The Ligurian Sea has not experienced cyanobacterial blooms in the past four years. No proliferation of potentially toxic algal species has been recorded.
