Scoglio del Frate is a bathing water area located along a high rocky coastline forming part of the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area. The area extends across a cliff face between Punta Molinara and Punta Lina. It is classified as coastal water with mountainous relief and low stability. The Ligurian Sea in this area is characterised by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms.
