Artificial reservoir (Talsperre) with a surface area of 1,037 hectares. Mean depth is 12.54 metres with a maximum depth of 33.7 metres. Water temperature ranges from 16°C to 26°C. Water transparency averages 2.5 metres (range 1.4–3.6 metres). Water exchange time is approximately 30 days or less. The catchment area is between 100 and 1,000 square kilometres. The substrate is sandy with a limestone geology. The water body is stratified.
