Naturbadesee Beiseförth is a 2-hectare bathing lake in the Fulda floodplain created through gravel extraction. The lake has a maximum depth of 3.9 metres and an average depth of 1.38 metres. It is located directly on the R1 long-distance cycling route and adjacent to the River Fulda. The water exhibits high nutrient loading that leads to increased algae development and reduced visibility during summer months, with a tendency toward dense aquatic vegetation and cyanobacteria formation.
