Ogliastro Marina is a bathing water area located in the municipality of Castellabate in the province of Salerno, Campania. The beach features both sandy and rocky stretches with an irregular rocky coastline. The bathing area encompasses the settlement of Ogliastro Marina and extends to the south where the Rio dell'Arena meets the sea.

Castellabate municipality, province of Salerno, Campania region. The Rio dell'Arena estuary is located at coordinates 40.2325°N, 14.9538°E.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent based on monitoring results from 2020–2023. Two wastewater treatment plants discharge into the area: a biological plant with activated sludge located in Maroccia, discharging into Vallone Valsella, and another located in Ogliastro Marina, discharging into Vallone Arena.

Risks

Rio dell'Arena estuary is identified as a potential pollution source.
