Ospedaletto is a bathing area located on the northwestern shore of Lake Como in the Tremezzina-Ossuccio municipality. The beach features a grassy area with water access via small steps and spans approximately 100 metres. Water quality has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2019-2022. The bathing area is situated at an altitude of 209 metres above sea level within the Adda basin.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference period 2019-2022). No exceedances of cyanobacteria thresholds have been recorded in the past 4 years. No toxic effects on swimmers or aquatic life have been registered.

Risks

Possible short-duration pollution events from soil runoff, water stagnation, and unauthorised discharges during unfavourable weather conditions such as heavy rainfall. Cyanobacteria and phytoplankton components may proliferate in toxic forms, though no prior events have been recorded in the past 4 years.
