Coastal bathing water located on an urban beach with intensive use in Albufeira. The beach features golden sand with cliffs, on top of which houses are arranged in amphitheatre-style toward the sea. Part of the beach is reserved for small fishing boats, with the eastern section bounded by a quay. The beach extends 120 metres with a tidal range of 3.4 metres and mean wave height of 0.5 metres. Predominant wind direction is east to southeast.
