Piccolo Lago Campeggi is a lake bathing area located in Verbania, Piedmont, characterized by a predominantly sandy beach with a gentle slope and a grassy area with a pier. Lake. The bathing area extends over 0.992 km². The water body is Lago di Mergozzo.

Location

Located in Verbania, Verbano Cusio Ossola Province, Piedmont region. The bathing area is situated within the Mergozzo Lake basin at an altitude of 197 meters above sea level. The sampling zone is private access, attached to an accommodation facility.

Camping facilities with services, showers, refreshment point, sports facilities and entertainment structures, catering establishments. Animal access is not permitted.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. Based on 18 routine samples collected between 2020 and 2023. Escherichia coli: 90th percentile 47.0 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 75.0 MPN/100 ml. Enterococchi: 90th percentile 41.8 MPN/100 ml, 95th percentile 63.2 MPN/100 ml. The water pressure class is null. No anthropogenic activities favoring eutrophication and cyanobacteria growth are known.

Risks

Intense precipitation may trigger overflow structures. Accidental failures of lifting systems can introduce untreated wastewater into the lake. Possible pollution sources include streams near the bathing zone and inadequate sewage network management. No anomalous events have been recorded. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal proliferation has been detected.
