Toulon, France. The beach is easily accessible with proximity to a large parking area. It is located near Port Saint Louis and the Eygoutier outlet.

Monitoring and active management occur from June to September.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent according to ARS monitoring since 2015. Potential pollution sources include the Eygoutier coastal river, Port Saint Louis, the Guinguettes lifting station, and stormwater and wastewater collection installations. Low potential for cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or phytoplankton proliferation with no history of algal blooms. Site sensitivity level classified as occasional.

Risks

Bacteriological pollution from the Eygoutier river (medium risk), Port Saint Louis blackwater discharge (medium risk), lifting station overflow (low risk), and wastewater system malfunctions (medium risk). Pollution typically affects water quality for no more than 72 hours. Adjacent beaches potentially impacted during westerly winds include Anse Mistral.
