Cala Bosque is a beach located in Orihuela, Alicante, in the Valencian Community of Spain. It is an open cove configuration beach without defensive structures, featuring a rigid maritime promenade. The beach is bounded to the north by Cala Cerrada and to the south by Cala Capitán. Water quality at the beach is classified as excellent based on monitoring data from recent seasons.

Water quality classification is excellent. The coastal water body to which this beach belongs is classified as having good status under the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE. Potential short-term contamination risk factors include rainfall (low frequency, mild impact), urban sanitation (low frequency, mild impact), and coastal discharges (low frequency, mild impact). Rivers/canals, industrial installations, port facilities, and diffuse pollution all present low frequency and mild impact.

Risks

No direct sewage discharge to the coastline. No sewage connections or natural geographical features such as ravines that would cause rainfall torrents to affect water quality. No environmental control point established as risks are minimal. Surveillance systems monitor for potential environmental risks.
