Playa del Brosquil is a semi-urban beach located in Cullera, Valencia, Spain. The beach has an irregular open configuration with breakwater structures and perpendicular groynes for coastal defence. It features a sand composition of semi-natural origin and a low-accumulation coastline. The beach extends 2,303 metres along the high tide line with an average width of 53.7 metres.

Location

Cullera, Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain. The beach is bordered to the north by Playa del Dorado-L'Estany and to the south by Playa de la Goleta. Parking is not available.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored under Royal Decree 1341/2007. Coastal water mass status is moderate. No direct discharges to the shoreline affect water quality. Two wastewater treatment plants serve the municipality: EDAR Cullera (24,000 m³/day capacity, 95% SS and DBO5 removal, 90% COD removal) and EDAR Cullera–L'Estany (142 m³/day capacity, 65% SS removal, 48% DBO5 removal, 49% COD removal). An outfall system from EDAR Cullera extends 1,480 metres offshore at 700 mm diameter, constructed in 1981.
