Playa El Dorado-l'Estany is a semi-urban beach located in Cullera, Valencia province, Spain. The beach has an irregular closed configuration with a coastline of 1,739.78 metres and average width of 79.7 metres. It is artificially composed of sand with defence structures including a revetment along the shore and perpendicular groynes. The beach is bounded to the north by Playa del Marenyet and to the south by Playa del Brosquill.

Maritime coastal water body. Shoreline length 1,739.78 metres. Average width 79.7 metres. Sandy composition, artificially created. Micromareal tidal range. Current direction from south to north. Located in the Júcar hydrographic demarcation with coastal water classification (CW).

Location

Located in the municipality of Cullera, Valencia province, in the Valencian Community, Spain. Parking is available. The beach is accessible by vehicle.

Lifeguard service available. Foot washing facilities available. Buoyage/marking system in place. Access available. Parking available. No disabled access service. No accessible service point. No bar/chiringuito. No toilet facilities. Low bathing density during season.

Water Quality

Water quality classification results available for 2020–2023 from monitoring point Restaurante Salvador. Quality assessment determined by weekly inspections during bathing season evaluating water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness on an Excellent, Good, Sufficient, or Insufficient scale. Coastal water mass classified as having Moderate status under the Water Framework Directive.

Risks

L'Estany gran discharge point located at southern limit with mixed origin, continuous frequency, and low risk classification. Low frequency and mild impact from rainfall, urban sewerage, and coastal discharges. No direct coastal discharges or urban sewerage connections that would affect water quality identified as requiring dedicated environmental control point monitoring.
