Tamarit Beach is located in the municipality of Santa Pola in the province of Alicante, Spain. The beach features a longitudinal open configuration with a rigid seafront promenade and no defense structures. It extends 651.9 meters along the high tide line with an average width of 112.4 meters and is composed of artificial sand. The beach is situated between Playa Llisa to the north and the Salinas de Santa Pola National Park to the south.

Water quality is classified as excellent based on monitoring results from 2020-2023. The beach is monitored at a single sampling point (Calle del Consueta) established in 1990. Weekly inspections during the bathing season evaluate visual parameters, water appearance, and sand cleanliness. No direct discharges or urban wastewater connections affect water quality. Potential contamination factors from rainfall, urban sanitation, and coastal discharges are rated as low frequency with mild effects.
