Punto 10 - Di fronte via Monti is a sandy beach in Misano Adriatico, Emilia-Romagna, extending approximately 1600 meters with an average width of 80 meters. The beach is protected by a series of rock groynes perpendicular to the coastline and a submerged barrier of sand-filled sacks. It is a high-tourism area with 41 bathing establishments, lifeguard services during the bathing season, and numerous hotels and facilities.

Coastal marine water in the central-southern coastal area of the Adriatic Sea. Beach width averages 80 meters. The area extends for approximately 1600 meters.

Location

Misano Adriatico, Rimini province, Emilia-Romagna region. The beach is located opposite Via Monti. Coordinates: center at 12.7076°E, 43.9787°N.

Facilities

41 bathing establishments with first aid services, toilets accessible to persons with disabilities, hot showers, no architectural barriers, sports facilities, and refreshment points. Lifeguard service present during bathing season.

Season

Official monitoring conducted during bathing seasons 2015-2018. No anomalous situations were recorded during bathing seasons 2015-2018.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (reference years 2015-2018). Escherichia Coli: 90th percentile 35 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile 46 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal Enterococci: 90th percentile 21 CFU/100 ml, 95th percentile 25 CFU/100 ml. The area drains through stormwater discharge no. 18 located in Via dei Gigli; wastewater is treated at Cattolica and Misano treatment plants, both compliant with Directive 91/271/CEE.

Risks

The beach is subject to significant erosion, maintained in equilibrium through periodic sand replenishment interventions. Stormwater discharge no. 18 could potentially cause eutrophication phenomena. No cyanobacterial blooms reported in 2015-2018. No phytoplankton blooms of Fibrocapsa japonica reported. No macroalgal blooms reported.
