Plage Remember and Plage des Ailes are bathing beaches located in the municipality of Mimizan in the Landes department of Aquitaine, France. The beaches are situated on the Atlantic Ocean coastline, protected by a sand dune system. These are open ocean beaches where significant numbers of people are expected to swim. The area experiences a mild, humid oceanic climate with moderate precipitation distributed throughout the year.

Open Atlantic Ocean beach protected by a sand dune barrier. The Landes coastline extends over 100 kilometres and is very rectilinear. The bathing zone is fed by the Courant river system and associated waterways traversing marshland.

Location

Mimizan, Landes department, Aquitaine region, France. Located 49 kilometres southwest of Teste-de-Buch. Latitude 44°12'4'' North, Longitude 1°13'60'' West. Altitude 40 metres. The bathing zones are situated on either side of the mouth of the Courant river along the sandy shoreline of the Landes.
