Riedsee Lauterach, also known as Jannersee, is an artificially created lake in the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley with a total area of approximately 2.8 hectares. The lake was formed as a result of gravel extraction that occurred before the 1970s and is fed by groundwater. Chemical and physical investigations indicate nutrient enrichment in the lake, particularly elevated phosphorus levels. Oxygen content decreases significantly with increasing depth due to groundwater discharge in deeper areas.
