Sandkaj Badezone is a bathing area located on Sandkaj in Copenhagen Harbour. The bathing site measures 80 by 40 metres and is positioned against a wooden pier with water depths of 6 to 7 metres. The zone is open for swimming year-round but operates without lifeguard supervision, so swimming is at the bather's own risk. Water Quality

Water quality classification rated as Excellent for years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. During the 2023 bathing season, the site was closed for a total of 139 hours (red flag), representing 4.7% of the time. Overflow structures exist in Copenhagen Harbour; the nearest is located in the outer harbour at the Central Basin. Heavy rainfall can result in bacterial contamination from overflow discharges. No known faecal pollution sources are present in the bathing profile area. Occasional contamination includes glass, litter, and chemical pollution such as oil spills. Monitoring is conducted minimum 20 times per year.
