Water Quality

Water quality classified as EXCELLENT for the period 2008-2011. No coastal wastewater treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. Cyanobacterial blooms do not characterize the Ligurian Sea due to predominant oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded in the past four years.
