Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present. River mouth identified as a source of pollution impact. No specific monitoring or management measures are currently activated.

Risks

River mouth (foce fluviale) identified as a pollution source. Cyanobacterial blooms do not occur due to oligotrophic conditions characteristic of the Ligurian Sea. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the past four years.
