Blanco Grande is a sandy beach in Ragusa, Sicily, with a gently sloping sandy seabed and dune ridges behind the shore. The beach is flanked by two promontories and features typical Mediterranean scrubland vegetation. The area has a dry subtropical climate with high summer temperatures and modest winter precipitation.

Location

Ragusa, Sicily. The beach is difficult to access. Located in coastal tract 15 between Cape Scalambri and Licata. Coordinates: Y=36.8440, X=14.4582.

Facilities

The beach is free access. No lifeguards, toilets, showers, or disabled access facilities are mentioned. Dogs are permitted with no municipal ordinances or signs prohibiting access.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. The area is not served by sewerage. Potential pollution sources include agricultural activities and untreated urban discharges. Heavy precipitation can cause overflow of stormwater discharge into bathing waters.

Risks
