Punta Braccetto is a sandy beach backed by dune ridges and bordered by rocky promontories. The beach is 25 metres wide and has an extension of 1.2 kilometres. It is easily accessible and located within a designated bathing area. The coastal zone experiences a dry subtropical climate with high summer temperatures and modest winter rainfall.

Part of the Sicily Channel (Canale di Sicilia). Coastal stretch 15 of the hydrographic basin R190881, encompassing minor basins between Ippari and Irminio rivers.

The area is free and equipped. No municipal ordinances or signs prohibit animal access.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent. The bathing area is subject to treated wastewater discharge via submarine conduit from a wastewater treatment plant. Potential pollution sources include agricultural activities, intense urbanization, and untreated urban wastewater. Heavy precipitation can cause overflow of storm water discharge into bathing waters.

Risks

Heavy precipitation may cause stormwater and combined sewer overflow into bathing waters. Coastal erosion phenomena have been observed in the area.
