Maiori 1 is a sandy beach located in the municipality of Maiori in the Campania region of Italy. Municipality of Maiori, Province of Salerno, Campania region. The beach is at the mouth of the Reginna Maior River on the Amalfi Coast.

Water quality classification: Good (based on monitoring years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 according to Legislative Decree 116/2008).

Risks

Urban wastewater is conveyed to a settling tank in Costa d'Angolo locality with final discharge via submarine pipeline. The Reginna Maior River mouth is managed with a summer channeling conduit to divert river waters. Potential risk of submarine pipeline rupture in the settling tank service area. The Reginna Maior River receives treated effluent from the Tramonti municipal wastewater treatment plant.
