Valle Paradiso is a narrow pebble beach mixed with sand located in the Pesaro municipality within the San Bartolo water body. The beach features a cliff face subject to landslides directly behind it, with rocky outcrops on the rapidly sloping seabed and both submerged and emergent rock formations. The beach has an average width of 25 metres and is situated within a regional park area with scattered houses.

Location

Pesaro, Marche region, Pesaro Urbino province, Italy. The beach is part of the coastline between Gabicce and Pesaro. Municipal Police can be contacted at tel 0721 387800.

Facilities

Equipped public beach with lifeguard service. Dogs and other animals are prohibited during the bathing season under municipal regulations.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: E. The municipality's wastewater system comprises mixed-type collectors conveying effluent to five treatment plants across the territory. The largest plant is located at Borgheria near the mouth of the Foglia River, serving Pesaro's urban nucleus with a capacity of approximately 90,000 equivalent inhabitants and a flow rate of approximately 20,000 m³/day using biological treatment. Over four years, this plant underwent 24 annual monitoring checks of Table 1 parameters and 6 annual checks of Table 3 parameters under Legislative Decree 152/2006, all compliant with legal limits. Some mixed urban wastewater collectors not connected to the Borgheria plant have disinfection stations discharging into the Foglia River and Genica torrent; some have been partially remediated through connection of most buildings to new separate sewerage with outlet to the Borgheria treatment plant.
